COVID Tactical Pause: May Update

Governor Inslee has published the state’s phased approach to reopening the state. Based on this information we still have no firm date as to when in-person meetings will be able to resume, yet we can plan for Phase III of the plan when gatherings of less than 50 people will be allowed.  Going forward we will continue our virtual meetings on Tuesday. See your email for more information.

Continuing concerns about COVID-19 have prompted Maj. Gen. Mark Smith, Civil Air Patrol National Commander and CEO, to extend restrictions on CAP-related travel and meetings to June 30, 2020.

In the interim, “we are rolling out guidance on how wings can carefully ease out of their current sets of restrictions,” Smith said. His new, less restrictive measures, announced on May 12, may allow some wings to progress more quickly and move past the existing set of restrictions. “Other wings will need to move more slowly, and so the original restrictions will apply for a longer period.”
